This model was built from the beautiful (and free!) Link Trainer design provided by Ralph Currell. For an appreciation of the detail and accuracy, run through the walk-around photos elsewhere on this site. The model went together flawlessly. My only caution would be to exercise care in mounting the small stops that determine the angle at which the open canopy will rest. When open, it should be in a near vertical position. However, it is very easy (as I found out) to offset the stops very slightly and end up with a canopy that's open just a little too far.
For a great diorama project, consider building the trainer in conjunction with a scratch-built instructor's desk. One is shown in the walk-around photos, as well as in many other photos of Link trainer installations. And then take that to your local IPMS outing!
This model (along with many others) is available at no charge from Currell Graphics.
